International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day is marked annually in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK.
As the name suggests, it draws attention to infant mortality and premature death in infants. On this day, various child and child-birth-related organizations work to inform and educate families and future mothers on the importance of prenatal care and healthy habits to eradicate a loss of life before it has begun.
